On the way / the trip itself
Irau-brinchang was my second mountain climbing trip this year after Gunung Datuk in May…I still remember after the Datuk’s trip…I swear I don’t want anymore mountain climbing trip (that was when my whole body was painful la)…but then…when my Belumians friends organizing another trip to Irau-brinchang I agree to participate without realizing what’s waiting for me….ok then…I said to myself…let’s give it a try…
Friday night we flag off from klcc with 3 cars (abg aidee’s, zana’s & daus’)…we picked up nurin at her house then headed straight to Sg Buloh R&R where the rest waited for us…we make a move from sg buloh round 12 midnite…
Mula2 tu segar la lagi mata ni..daus car follow kereta zana yg laju itu…ahaks…then bila dh nk smp Tapah tu aku dh mengantuk…so rather sleep than keluar pegi toilet or cari makan ke apa…tido lagi penting..hihihihi..i don’t know what time we make a move from Tapah…but bila dh sedar…dh rasa sejuk giler then tgk kiri kanan dh gelap dh…nasib baik la co-pilot pesawat WRA begitula bagus…melayan ajer pilot supaya tidak megantuk..thanks aiman…. J daus’ car followed zana closely..sometimes dengar la pilot aku yg sorang tu membebel kn gaya pemanduan zana…maklum lah…org ganas..bawak keta pun ganas la..hihihihihi…
We reached Brinchang 4.15am…masjid brinchang pulak tutup…so we decided to lepak kat Petronas Stesen..dibawah khemah....masing2 pesiapkan tpt tido and then zzzzzz…yg paling best tpt tido aku & nurin…sbb City Daus bleh convert jadik tpt tido…huhuhuhu….
After solat, we waited for the other 2 cars i.e abd aidee’s & tess’ car…before that…we had our scrumptious nasi goreng kampung at the nearby restaurant…it’s either the nasi is really sedap or we were really hungry… After breakfast, still waited for the others…lepak2 tepi jln raya dgn kesejukan…hihihi….after abg aidee & tess smp…we went straight to the police station to report our journey…mak.a..perjalanan kami pun bermula….kt depan sekali keta zana, followed by tess’ then daus last sekali Hilux abg aidee…jalan nyer…ya rabbi..horror…nasi baik la pilot2 semua terer2…hihihi..
We started the climbing around 10am…my goodness…first thing that we had to go thorough is that scary jambatan yg tak siap tuh…aduh…dah la aku ni gayat…takut tinggi…tapi nak experience punya pasal…redah je laaa….so we went on and on…smp kat puncak Anak Irau close to 1pm….the first group yg smp dulu i.e coco, amie, ……. Dh nk berenti dh…tp zana kata “ cepat…cepat..kita nk smp puncak ni sebelum kul 2 nih…cepat cepat…” so…tepat kul 1 kami teruskan perjalanan…
At 2.15pm..we reached Puncak Irau…woohhoo…rehat kejap, minum & berposing sakan…then we waited for Aiman, Daus. Ikha & Belle sampai baru turun...turn out only Aiman, Daus & Ikha saja yg sampai…Belle patah balik…
2.30pm we start our journey out from Irau…ok then..looking at my pace..i expect to be out latest by 6.30pm…we went on and on and on..one by one my other friends pass me by…eerrmm..leaving me together with Huda, behind us there were abg aidee, Ikha & wawa…it was really really really challenging finding our way out ( we means ME & HUDA)…we don’t know how far the ppl in front & also abg aidee..it’s close to 6 already…both me & huda feel really freaking out..it’s getting dark..it’s only ME & HUDA..we don’t want to stop…we keep on walking until to a point were we know immediately that we were on the right track…syukur Alhamdulillah…
At 6.30pm sampai…the rest of the ppl sampai dlm 4.30 lg! that’s 2 hrs difference okay!!! Eerrmmm but it’s ok..as long as I made it to the top & tak sesat…walaupun almost sesat…
After the trip / on the way back to KL
After the exhausting yet challenging trip..we went for steam boat…yuuhhuu…bestnyer…tapi mengantuk & penat punyer pasal..tak larat sgt la nak makan…went back early from the dinner…then zzzz dgn nyenyaknyer…
Next morning, after having our breakfast, we went for shopping spree..daus’ car went back to KL early as he needs to rush to Kerteh after that…went to shop for some ( eeermm..some??) flowers, t-shirt, strawberry, tea & all…we leave Cameron Highland about 3.30pm…rest for a while at Tapah R&R…close to 7pm, we received a call from abg aide…his car accident!!
Both Zana & me went to fetch abg aidee, Ikha, Huda & Ijol at Tg Malim Police station…It was really challenging for all of us..i had to went back home first, unload all the things, freshen up then make my way to Tg Malim..Zana & Amie also went straight to Tg Malim after unloading the things..kesian abg aide & the rest yg terlibat dlm accident tu…but Alhamdulillah semua tak ada apa2..tak ada yg cedera parah except for Ikha yg cedera sikit sbb terhantuk dgn Huda…
LESSON LEARNT
1. Never ever split from the group…esp in the jungle…
2. Don’t leave your friends when you are mountaineering…coz we never know what might be happening.
3. If you think you’re lost or about to off track…then STOP…kalau tak..lagi sesat..
4. Jgn pandai memandai dlm hutan!
5. You can make it to the top…all you need is motivation.
6. Last but not least…FRIENDS IN NEED IS THE FRIENDS INDEED…
